Heat pump quoting software
Quote an air-to-air heat pump properly: room-by-room heat loss, units sized on heating rather than cooling, your materials and labour, and a branded proposal showing the running costs alongside the price — e-signed before you leave.
Air-to-air systems — the ones an air conditioning installer fits. Not air-to-water, underfloor or radiator systems.
How a heat pump quote comes together
Survey the property
Dimensions, glazing, orientation and insulation, room by room.
Size on heat loss
Heating-led sizing checked against rated heating capacity, not cooling.
Price the install
Units, pipework, electrical, materials and labour from your own rates.
Show the running cost
Capital price and estimated running costs together, then e-signed.
Why heating-led sizing matters
In the UK the heating requirement is usually the larger of the two. A unit chosen on cooling capacity alone can be comfortably oversized in August and short of output on the coldest morning of the year — which is the day the customer judges it on.
- Heating-led or cooling-led sizing, switchable per room
- Checked against rated heating capacity, honestly banded
- Running-cost estimates on the customer's proposal
- Multi-split checks: ratio, pipe runs, refrigerant charge
- F-Gas records and leak-check intervals kept current
- Flat pricing from £39/mo — not per user
Frequently asked questions
Does Vento quote air-to-air or air-to-water heat pumps?
Air-to-air — the systems an air conditioning installer fits, where the same equipment heats and cools. Vento sizes them on heat loss as well as cooling load, so a system chosen for a British winter is not simply a cooling unit with a heating figure attached. It does not quote air-to-water, underfloor or radiator systems.
Can it size on heating rather than cooling?
Yes. Switch the room to heating-led and the heat loss becomes the primary sizing basis, checked against the unit's rated heating capacity rather than its cooling capacity. That matters in the UK, where the heating requirement is usually the larger of the two and a unit picked purely on cooling can be undersized on the coldest days of the year.
What about the Boiler Upgrade Scheme?
The BUS has historically covered air-to-water. Installers expect air-to-air to become far more attractive if and when it is included, particularly for bungalows and smaller properties where a wet system is disproportionate. Vento quotes the air-to-air job today; we are not in a position to advise on grant eligibility, and you should check the current scheme rules directly.
Does the quote show running costs?
It can. The proposal will include estimated daily, monthly and annual running costs alongside the capital price, which is usually the number that decides a heating job — a customer comparing a heat pump against what they have now is comparing bills, not just installation prices.
What does it cost?
Flat per tier rather than per user — from £39/mo billed annually, Professional £119/mo. 14-day free trial, no card needed.
