Does Vento quote every kind of HVAC work?

No, and that is deliberate. Vento is built for air conditioning and air-to-air heat pumps — splits, multi-splits and the associated pipework, electrical and F-Gas obligations. It does not quote gas boilers or plumbing. If most of your work is cooling and air-to-air heating, a specialist tool will size and price it far more accurately than a general field-service package. If most of your work is wet heating, another tool will serve you better and we would rather say so.

How is this different from general field-service software?

General packages are strong on scheduling, invoicing and job tracking across every trade, and weak on the engineering, because there is no single sizing calculation that covers boilers, air conditioning and ventilation. Vento runs a room-by-room heat load, recommends correctly sized units, checks combination ratios on multi-split systems and carries the result straight into the priced proposal — so the number you send is derived from the survey rather than typed in from experience.

Can I quote a multi-split system?

Yes. Assign several indoor units to one outdoor condenser and Vento checks the connection ratio, the diversity-adjusted simultaneous load, total and per-feed pipe lengths, the height difference and the refrigerant charge — then prices the shared condenser once rather than per room. It will also stop you pairing indoor and outdoor units from different manufacturers, which cannot be installed.
