Best F-Gas Software UK (2026): Registers & Leak Checks Compared
The best F-Gas record-keeping software for UK air-conditioning and refrigeration firms in 2026 — Vento, KORD, Joblogic and Checker compared on registers, leak checks and the rest of the job.

The best F-Gas software keeps the record against each installed system and schedules its leak checks from the charge, so nothing relies on someone remembering. For air-conditioning installers, Vento does that from the survey onwards; for refrigeration and plant maintenance, KORD and Joblogic are built around service work. Here are the tools UK firms shortlist, compared on what they record and what else they do. Reviewed October 2026.
| Tool | Best for | F-Gas register | Refrigerant / cylinder log | Leak-check scheduling | Survey & design |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vento | Air-con installers who install and service | Yes — per installed system, with CO₂e | Purchased, charged, recovered, reclaimed, disposed | Yes — from the charge and CO₂e | Yes — room-by-room sizing, split & multi-split design |
| KORD | AC and refrigeration service contractors | Yes — F-Gas log book, CO₂e reporting | Cylinder and refrigerant registers | Recurring maintenance visits; leak-check detail not stated | Not stated |
| Joblogic | Commercial maintenance contractors across trades | Yes — an F-Gas compliance module | Not detailed — confirm with them | Planned maintenance; confirm leak-check handling | Not stated |
| Checker | Gas, heating and multi-trade engineers who also do some AC | Advertises F-Gas records | Not detailed — confirm with them | Annual service reminders | Not stated |
1. Vento — best for air-con installers
In Vento the F-Gas record starts when the system is designed: every installed system carries its refrigerant, charge and CO₂ equivalent, systems under the 5-tonne threshold are marked exempt, and the next leak check is scheduled when one is logged. A refrigerant register records gas purchased, charged, recovered, reclaimed and disposed of, year by year, and commissioning and F-Gas certificates come out of the same job. Pricing is flat per tier, from £39 a month billed annually. Best for: firms that install air conditioning and service what they install. Vento's F-Gas software.
2. KORD — best for AC and refrigeration service work
KORD is built for air conditioning and refrigeration contractors, around service: an F-Gas log book, cylinder and refrigerant registers, CO₂e reporting, asset service history and recurring maintenance visits. Room-by-room sizing and system design aren't what it advertises. Best for: contractors whose work is maintaining commercial and refrigeration plant. Vento vs KORD.
3. Joblogic — best for multi-trade maintenance contractors
Joblogic is field-service software for commercial and maintenance contractors, and advertises an F-Gas compliance module alongside planned maintenance and asset management. It has also partnered with Refcom on F-Gas tracking software. Best for: larger contractors running planned maintenance across several trades. Vento vs Joblogic.
4. Checker — best for certificate-heavy trades
Checker covers gas, heating, electrical, oil, refrigeration and renewables, and its strength is certificates — gas safety records, electrical certificates and OFTEC forms — alongside quotes, invoices and payments. It advertises F-Gas records. Best for: engineers whose daily work is certificates and who do some air conditioning. Vento vs Checker.
What good F-Gas software should do
- Work out the CO₂ equivalent from the refrigerant and charge, so you know whether a system needs mandatory leak checks at all.
- Schedule the next check from the interval, not from memory — see the leak-check intervals.
- Record every gas movement — added, recovered, reclaimed or disposed of — against the system and the engineer.
- Keep records you can find years later, because they must be kept for years and produced on request — see F-Gas record keeping requirements.
Want to check a single system now? The free leak-check interval calculator works out the CO₂e and the interval from the refrigerant and charge.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best F-Gas software in the UK?
For air-conditioning installers, software that keeps the F-Gas record against each system you install — refrigerant, charge, CO₂ equivalent and leak-check dates — on the same record as the job. Vento does that from the survey onwards. For refrigeration and commercial plant maintenance, KORD is built around service work, and Joblogic offers an F-Gas module for maintenance contractors.
Do I need software to keep F-Gas records?
No — the law requires the records, not software, and a paper logbook is allowed. Software helps because it works out the CO₂ equivalent, schedules the next leak check from it, and keeps records you can find years later when they're asked for.
What does F-Gas software need to record?
At minimum, for each system that needs records: the type and quantity of refrigerant, gas added or recovered and why, who did the work, and the dates and results of leak checks. See our F-Gas record keeping guide for the full list and how long to keep them.
