Delete your account
Last updated: 8 July 2026
This page explains how to delete your Vento account (the Vento mobile app and https://app.ventogroup.uk, published by Vento Group Solutions Ltd), and exactly what is removed and what is kept when you do.
Delete your account from the app
Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no waiting period and no undo.
- Open the Vento app and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to Delete your account and tap Delete my account.
- Confirm twice — the second prompt is the point of no return. Your account is deleted and you are signed out.
If you no longer have the app installed, email privacy@ventogroup.uk from the address on your account and we will delete it for you. We will confirm it is your address before we do.
If you are the only owner of a business
If you are the last remaining owner of an organisation that still has other members, deletion is refused. Deleting you would leave a business that nobody can administer — colleagues who could no longer be added, removed or billed for. Make a colleague an owner from Team first, then delete your account.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- your sign-in (email address and password credential);
- your user profile — name, phone number, role and job title;
- your push-notification token, so the device stops receiving notifications;
- your organisation and everything in it — customers, jobs, room scans, photos, designs, proposals, invoices and certificates — if you are its only member. With nobody left for it to belong to, the business is deleted with you.
What is kept, and why
Deleting your account deletes you, not the business you work for. If your organisation has other members, it and its records stay with them — they are the company's records, not your personal ones, and one person leaving should not take a colleague's live jobs with them.
- The organisation and its data (customers, jobs, surveys, proposals, invoices, F-Gas and installation certificates) remain with your remaining colleagues. Your name may still appear on a record you created — a compliance certificate naming the engineer who carried out the work has to keep naming them to be worth anything.
- Financial and compliance records — invoices, payments and F-Gas refrigerant-handling records — are retained for up to 6 years where UK tax, accounting and environmental law require it. This applies whether or not your organisation was deleted.
- Backups. Deleted data may persist in encrypted database backups for up to 30 days before those backups roll over, after which it is gone.
- Payment records held by our payment processor (Stripe) are retained by them under their own legal obligations; we do not store card details.
Deleting the whole business instead
If you want the organisation and all of its data removed — not only your own account — email privacy@ventogroup.uk from the address on the owner account. We will verify you are an owner and confirm before anything is deleted. The retention exceptions above still apply.
